Fereidoon Moghadas Nejad holds a Ph.D. degree (1997) from The University of Sydney, Australia, in Civil Engineering.
After earning his Ph.D., he was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Western Sydney in 1997.
In 1998, he joined Dep. of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology, as an Assistant Professor, and currently is a Professor and Head of Transportation Division.
Moghadas Nejad's research interests include; Pavement Materials Testing, Soil Reinforcement,, Pavement Recycling, Nondestructive Testing, Pavement & Railway Management Systems, Pavement Rehabilitation and Maintenance, Computational Models for Asphalt and Concrete Pavements , Constitutive Models for Pavements , Image Processing, Automation, Fuzzy and Numerical Methods in Pavement and Railway Engineering.
He has been authored or coauthored more than 240 refereed journal and 210 national and international conference papers, nine books and several book chapters, and holds 21 Iran and one US patents.
