Dr. Gunnar Suchaneck was Senior Researcher and Chief Assistant of the Solid State Electronics Laboratory at TU Dresden. He received his Ph.D. in physico-mathematical sciences from the Electrotechnical University - LETI, St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1983. Dr. Suchaneck has been retired since March 2021 butcontinues to work on a part-time basis. His current research interests include solid state sensor technology: ferroelectric and ferromagnetic thin film materials, metal oxide thin films, thin film deposition by reactive sputtering and plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition, characterization of thin films by optical and electrical measurements. He has coauthored more than 280 technical publications in books, scientific journals, and conference proceedings, and has coauthored 15 patents.
