Biography

Prof.Rashed enrolled among Top 2% Scientists Around the World 2020, 2021. Prof. Mohamed Nageeb Rashed is professor of analytical and environmental chemistry, previous vice-dean for environmental affairs , Faculty of Science, Aswan University, Egypt. In 1989 he received his Ph.D. in environmental analytical chemistry from Assiut University, Egypt . His research interest has been analytical and environmental chemistry with special emphasis in :- 1 monitoring and assessment of biological trace elements and toxic metals in human blood, urines, water, crops, vegetables and medicinal plants. 2 - relationships between environments heavy metals and human diseases. 3- Uses of biological indicators for monitoring water pollution. 4-Environmental chemistry of lakes, rivers and wells water. 5- Water and wastewater treatment by adsorption and photocatalysis techniques. 6-soil and water pollution monitoring, control and treatment.7- advanced oxidation treatment; photocatalysis, nanocatalyst , nanocomposite and adsorption techniques for water and wastewater treatment. Prof. Rashed supervised several M.Sc. and Ph.D. thesis in the field of analytical and environmental chemistry. He selected as an examiner for several Ph.D. thesis in analytical chemistry from India, Kasakhastan, and Bostuana. Prof. Rashed published about 90 scientific papers in peer reviewed international journals, beside sveral papers in national and international conferences. He participated as invited speaker in 30 international conferences worldwide. Prof.Rashed acts as editor-in-chief and an editorial board member in several international journals in the fields of chemistry and environment. His society membership includes several national and international societies. He awarded the Egyptian State Award for Environmental Researches in the year 2001, and Aswan University Merit Award for Basic Science 2020.
